Product Description

Elevate your pet care routine with the PawsPik Automatic Microchip RFID Pet Feeder, designed to target food-stealing and obesity in multi-pet households. This advanced feeder is compatible with embedded ISO microchips and PawsPik RFID tags, allowing precise control over which pets have access to food. With the ability to customize access, the feeder's door will automatically open or close based on the designated permissions for each pet.

Schedule and dispense meals remotely through the PawsPik app, with options ranging from 1/8 cup to 1/2 cup per meal, up to 10 feedings per day. The app also tracks feeding data, noting the exact times and durations of your pet's meals, which can be shared directly with your veterinarian. Frequently Asked Questions

Can this feeder connect to the microchip already implanted in my pet?

Absolutely! As long as your pet’s microchip is ISO compatible and hasn't shifted significantly since it was implanted, it should pair seamlessly with our feeder.

What happens if there's a power outage?

In the event of a power outage, the feeder's backup battery will activate, ensuring that all pre-scheduled meals are dispensed on time. Please note, while on backup power, features such as microchip and RFID sensing, as well as app and manual controls, will be temporarily unavailable. Backup battery not included, up to 3 days on free feeding mode.

What if my pet doesn't have a microchip?

No microchip? No problem! Each feeder includes a PawsPik RFID Tag, which can be attached to your pet's collar and paired with the feeder. Additionally, if you're considering getting a microchip for your pet, we provide a 'Show This to Your Vet' card to facilitate the discussion.

Can the feeder connect to multiple microchips or RFID tags at once?

The feeder is designed to manage one registered microchip or RFID tag at a time to control access to the food. This setup is ideal for preventing food theft among pets. For instance, if one of your pets is being bullied or having food stolen by others, you can register that pet’s microchip or RFID tag. Then, use the feeder in closed mode to ensure only the registered pet can access the food. Importantly, all pets should be equipped with a microchip or RFID tag, even if they are unassigned, as the feeder uses these tags to detect and manage the presence of nearby pets, keeping unregistered pets from accessing the food.

What if my pet’s paw or face is in the way when the food door closes?

Our feeder features a soft-close safety mechanism on the food door to prevent any harm to your pet. If your pet’s paw or face is in the door as it closes, the door will move back and forth gently attempting to close until it no longer detects an obstruction.

What types of food can be used with this feeder?

Our feeder is compatible with dry pet food pellets ranging in size from 2-15mm in diameter. It is not suitable for dispensing wet food, semi-moist food, or treats.

Can I use this feeder to feed multiple pets?

While our feeder can manage access for multiple pets, each unit is designed to dispense one type of food at a time. To prevent food aggression and improve feeding data accuracy, we recommend using one feeder per pet. This ensures that each pet receives their specific dietary requirements without interference from others and allows you to monitor each pet's feeding habits accurately. Setting up a separate feeder for each pet also helps maintain peace during meal times and ensures a controlled diet for pets with special nutritional needs.
